Community Bible Church has a long and rich history. Incorporated in 1977, we are an evangelical, non-denominational body of believers. Community Bible is completely financially dependent on the Lord and is not part of any larger earthly organization. Rather, it is our view that Community Bible Church belongs "to the General Assembly and Church of the First Born who are registered in heaven, to an innumerable company of angels, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel."(Hebrews 12:23,24)
We are a multi-elder, multi-deacon church body utilizing a full-time Pastor-Teacher to encourage and direct the body. The teaching of the Word is done through expository teaching and preaching. The Word of God is the basis for Community Bible Church's guidance and significance. We emphasize reading, studying and memorizing God’s Word as well as prayer filled living.
CBC is home to families as well as individuals, both young and old, and our church body is culturally diverse. Children hold a special place at Community. Our young ones add so much life to our church and we want to be found faithful in raising these up to know the Lord and be part of a godly generation. It is our desire that we might hear the Lord Jesus Christ say on that future day, "Well done thou good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with little, enter into the joy of your Lord."
Another emphasis of ministry at CBC is supporting foreign field missionaries with whom Christ has bound us together in love and ministry. Whether through prayer or financial support, we have a role to fill as partners in the work these missionaries are doing around the world. It’s always a joy to us when one of our missionary partners comes and shares what the Lord has been doing in the harvest fields in which they labor for Christ.
In the area of personal giving, although we believe this is a very important aspect of worship, and that which most honors the Lord is giving to Him from one’s own “first fruits” (giving first from one’s financial resources rather than what’s left over), we do not pass a collection plate or place anyone under compulsion to give. There is simply a “Love Box” available for one’s free will giving and tithes to the Lord. The Lord loves a cheerful giver.
It is our hope you will visit us, that you will discover a spiritual richness that draws you nearer to the Lord, and that you might come to the point of considering Community Bible Church your home.
